extrapol8 provides both general and specialist spatial analytics capabilities against a GeoSpock dataset stored in infin8, GeoSpock’s cutting-edge geo-temporal data indexing engine. This is achieved through a library built on top of Apache Spark. extrapol8’s  library enables you to load data from any geo-temporal region into an in-memory Apache Spark dataset, efficiently and in parallel. You can then iteratively explore your data using standard Spark constructs, including SQL; and you can connect to standard BI tools such as Tableau or notebooks.

If you already use illumin8, GeoSpock’s geo-temporal visualisation solution, you can seamlessly carry over your illumin8 workflow to extrapol8 by importing parameters such as your geo-temporal bounds, geofences, filters and indexes, enabling you to perform the same summarization calculations as in illumin8 to verify results and extract raw data.
